Plan to spend an afternoon exploring 27 fully furnished pioneer buildings and 35,000 square feet of museum exhibits at Prairie Village Museum in Rugby, North Dakota.
Visit the general store and saloon, check out the Scandinavian house and dressmaker’s shop. Climb aboard the Great Northern caboose and stand in an 1885 log cabin. Exhibition buildings feature rows of classic cars and farm machinery, antique guns and household items, Native American artifacts and more.
The Prairie Village Museum is within easy walking distance of Rugby’s famed Geographical Center monument at the intersection of Highways 2 and 3. Stop and have your picture taken at the monument and then come on over and explore the region’s pioneer heritage at the Prairie Village Museum.
