PVM Continues WWI Programming!

Geographical Center Historical Society Prairie Village Museum 102 Highway 2 SE, Suite A Rugby, ND 58368

Prairie Village Museum continues its exploration of the many facets of WWI with more book discussions, film showings and talks in 2018.

The museum will host its second WWI and America Community Book Discussion at 7 p.m., Jan. 16, in the museum’s Old Main Gallery.

Moderators Ron Montonye and Stephanie Steinke will lead a discussion of Christopher Clark’s “The Sleepwalkers: How Europe went to War in 1914.” Discussion participants are responsible for securing their own copies of the book, which is available in hardback, paperback, Kindle and audiobook formats. Montonye is a Vietnam Era veteran and current Pierce County Veterans Service Officer and Steinke is curating “From Ploughboys to Doughboys: WWI in the Heart of America,” an exhibit scheduled to open at the museum in May 2018.

Future events include WWI themed movies at the Lyric Theater in Rugby, ND during February and March, and final book discussion to be held in April 2018.
